Macao International Airport starts a cargo test on Hengqin island in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, on Wednesday August 26. Right now when cargo travels from the Chinese mainland through Macao to other countries, workers check it and pack it onto pallets at the airport. This job is now moving to Hengqin too, about 13 kilometers away. Builders started work on the cargo center in Hengqin in October 2025.
