China has been fighting against the COVID-19 epidemic for more than three months. During this period, Chinese doctors have gained precious experience.
In this special episode of Fact Check in Wuhan, Dr Du Bin shares that we have implemented useful measures and achieved a lot, such as fewer newly diagnosed patients and more empty beds in hospitals. Now the whole province of Hubei is still shut down, and the possibility of cases from overseas always exists before the pandemic is fully contained. Preventing cases from overseas is very tough and difficult task right now. There will be a risk of the viral transmission both ways across borders.
Dr Du Bin is the director of the Medical ICU of Peking Union Medical College Hospital. He arrived in Wuhan on January 28 as a member of the national expert team to review every single case of patients critically ill with COVID-19.
