A German with the Chinese name Wu Zhengrong, who has lived in China with his wife for nearly two decades, has opened a bakery for deaf-mutes in Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan Province.

Before this, Wu worked on a project for the Hunan Disabled Persons' Federation, in which he helped train hearing-impaired children. He felt it was so meaningful that he decided to help more people. This led to the bakery.

Due to the pandemic, the bakery had been closed for a month and kept losing money, but he did not lay people off or raise prices.
