A girl fell into an enclosure of adult giant pandas in the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Southwest China’s Sichuan Province on February 9.

The girl soon drew the attention of the pandas and they approached her.

With the help of security guards, the girl was pulled out of the enclosure a minute later.

It’s not the first time visitors fell into giant panda pens.

In 2009, a man reportedly jumped into a panda pen to get a toy thrown by his son in the Beijing Zoo. The man was attacked by 10-year-old Gugu, a giant panda. It was the third time Gugu had bitten people.

Giant pandas, which look soft and cuddly, are carnivores. But they are essentially vegetarians and bamboo is their favorite food.
