Girl falls into giant panda pen in SW China's Sichuan

<p>A girl fell into an enclosure of adult giant pandas in the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Southwest China’s Sichuan Province on February 9.</p><p>The girl soon drew the attention of the pandas and they approached her.</p><p>With the help of security guards, the girl was pulled out of the enclosure a minute later.</p><p>It’s not the first time visitors fell into giant panda pens.</p><p>In 2009, a man reportedly jumped into a panda pen to get a toy thrown by his son in the Beijing Zoo. The man was attacked by 10-year-old Gugu, a giant panda. It was the third time Gugu had bitten people.</p><p>Giant pandas, which look soft and cuddly, are carnivores.
