A wild adult golden snub-nosed monkey visited a villager's home in Yang county, Shaanxi Province, on Sunday.
According to the villagers, it has been wandering in the village for a week. It would climb the roof of the houses to find food in the daytime. At nights, it would hide in the mountains to rest.
The local forestry department said not to disturb it and it would return to nature on its own.
The endangered snub-nosed monkey has been classified as a first-class protected animal in China. They live in Asia, including southern China. And they inhabit mountainous forests at elevations of 1,500-3,400 meters above sea level.
