In Shihan Village, Qiongzhong Li and Miao Autonomous County, Hainan, there is a traditional dish served for the Double Third Festival, when the local people honor their ancestors and express their yearning for love and happiness. Sounds interesting? Let's see how it is made.

Ingredients: trident maple leaves, red and blue vine leaves, yellow ginger, and glutinous rice.

Steps:

1. Mash the trident maple, immerse it in cold water, and soak the glutinous rice in the juice. → BLACK RICE DONE!

2. Boil the red and blue vine leaves and soak the glutinous rice in the juice. → RED RICE DONE!

3. Grind the yellow ginger and mix it with glutinous rice. → YELLOW RICE DONE!

4. Lay out reed leaves in a wooden bucket, put the three-color rice in, add some salt and steam. → THREE COLOR RICE DONE!
