Kyrgyz media, Slovo Kyrgyzstana newspaper and the state-run Kabar News Agency, published on Tuesday a signed article by Chinese President Xi Jinping titled "May China-Kyrgyzstan Friendship Thrive Like an Evergreen Tree" ahead of his state visit to the Central Asian country.
Xi described China-Kyrgyzstan relations as "good neighbors, good friends, good partners, and good brothers."
"Since the establishment of diplomatic ties, China-Kyrgyzstan relations have withstood the vicissitudes of the international landscape," the article said.
As a fine example of a new type of state-to-state relations featuring mutual respect, equality and win-win cooperation, China-Kyrgyzstan relationship is defined by three features, which are stronger mutual political trust, deepening results-oriented cooperation, and closer people-to-people exchanges.
In the article, President Xi said, "I look forward to working with President Jeenbekov to draw up an ambitious blueprint for a China-Kyrgyzstan comprehensive strategic partnership and bring our bilateral ties and all-round cooperation to new heights." China wants to enhance strategic trust, deepen Belt and Road cooperation, strengthen security cooperation, expand people-to-people exchanges, and step up international cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
