Indonesian expat Suhandi Wiratama was invited to enjoy the last days of summer in the urban pastoral tourist complex of Maoxin village, Haishu district, by Ningbo Evening News.
Handi, who graduated from Ningbo University, is now engaged in e-commerce and translation in the Zhejiang Province coastal city.
At Maoxin visitors can experience paddy fields and a space station simulation as part of the rural tourism program.
During his visit Wiratama visited the Imperial Censor Cultural Exhibition Hall and the Ningbo Family Tradition Museum.
He learned about imperial censorship culture and architectural styles dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
