The plaza of the Beijing Olympic Village is a 30,000-square-meter space that has gathered different businesses to provide one-stop service, including food, entertainment, commercial services, and cultural experiences.
The Beijing Cabin on the plaza showcases new technology to be adopted at the Winter Games. The Chinese New Year and the Lantern Festival will be celebrated during the Games.
Situated in the northern part of Beijing's center against the backdrop of the Bird's Nest, the village covers an area of 330,000 square meters.
The village is the largest of three official residential areas built for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, which also include mountain villages in Yanqing district and the co-host city Zhangjiakou in Hebei Province.
