Major Snow, the 21st solar term of the traditional Chinese lunar calendar, begins this year on Dec. 7 and ends on Dec. 20.
During Major Snow, the snow becomes heavy and the temperature drops significantly, promising a picturesque landscape of silver white and an ideal season for winter activities, such as skiing and skating. It’s also a time to enjoy delicious food as the best excuse of defending against the cold.
