Thousands of people marched through Kim Il Sung square in Pyongyang on September 10 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of North Korea.
The celebration is expected to last for one month and will include a trade show and other events designed to drum up foreign investment and tourism spending in the sanctions-strapped country.
The torch parade followed several high-profile events, including Mass Games and a military parade on September 9, to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the country.
