Most challenging mountain roads with 75 hairpin turns in Italy

15:30, December 22, 2018

Stunning drone footage shows Italy's Stelvio Pass, described by TV show Top Gear as "one of the world's greatest roads."

The northern mountain pass stands at an elevation of 2,757 m above sea level. It is the highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps, and the second highest in the Alps.

The 75 hairpin turns pose a terrifying challenge to motorists, with even Stirling Moss going off the road during a vintage car event in the 1990s.
