A photographer managed to film a rare moment of two golden eagles hunting on a mountain slope in Beijing’s Fangshan district.
In this video shot by photographer Duan Zheng during the Spring Festival vacation, two golden eagles almost simultaneously chase two sheep and one of them fly to a cliff with the prey firmly held in their claws.
The golden eagle is under China’s first-class national protection, and are known in China as the "king of birds of prey.”
Some researchers said that the frequent appearance of golden eagles symbolizes an increase in the number of birds of prey, which shows that in recent years, the species of animals and plants in Beijing have become more numerous, and wildlife food chain has been improved.
