Poverty alleviation 'menu' sows hope

In 2009, Ma Jinbao lost his ability to work due to an accident. In 2017, enjoying the "menu" poverty alleviation policy in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Ma's family got rid of poverty quickly by raising cattle and planting corn. They became a model of poverty alleviation.

"We have to work hard, or I'll be sorry for our government," said Ma's father, the only person able to work in his family. Now, Ma Jinbao has left despair and started looking forward to a new life.
