Shu Haifeng, 17, a pianist with autism, gained his fame in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. He has been giving solo concerts in Shenzhen and Zhuhai since 2019.

At the age of 3, Shu was diagnosed with autism. He has been unable to stretch his fingers normally due to his neurodevelopmental disorder, nor could he improve his fine motor activities.

"Over these years, I've been strict with myself. In addition to studying, I practiced the piano for 4 to 6 hours a day, 365 days a year," Shu recalls.

Ge Fangfang, Shu's mother, said that she expects her son "not necessarily to be a pianist, but hopefully he can take care of himself and become a useful person to society." Thus, Ge shares Shu's story to inspire those parents whose children have autism, so that they could find hope and confidence.
