Personnel in the Hunchun Branch of the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park discovered a wild Siberian tiger family consisting of five members while sorting out the infrared camera monitoring data in the last few days.

According to reports, this 50-seconds of precious video was shot at 6 pm on May 10, 2018. The very clear footage shows a female tiger with four cubs playing in front of the camera.

Since the establishment of the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park, the protection of wild Siberian tigers and leopards has been enhanced, and the number of tigers and leopards in the park has been increasing.

At least 27 Siberian tigers and 42 leopards have long been active in the Jilin Province region of the Sino-Russian border as of the end of 2017. The population has remained stable, according to the latest data officially released by Jilin Province.

Siberian tigers have frequently appeared in Jilin in the last year, and their activities have spread from the Sino-Russian border area to the hinterland of Jilin. Some of them have settled in Jilin for many years.
