Space Command launched by Trump administration

13:28, December 19, 2018

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence announced the start of the Pentagon's new Space Command in a speech at the Kennedy Space Center on December 18. The command will be separate from Trump's goal to build an entirely new branch of the military called "Space Force," which has not received approval from Congress. It's an effort to better organize the military's vast operations in space, and it could cost as much as 800 million U.S. dollars over the next five years.
