“1917 pandemic” may have ended World War II, US President Donald Trump said at the White House press briefing on Monday.

He said the “1917 pandemic” is the closest thing to the current pandemic. “The great pandemic certainly was a terrible thing where they lost anywhere from 50 to 100 million people. Probably ended the second world war. All the soldiers were sick,” said Trump. World War II bagan in 1939 and the “1917 pandemic” mentioned by Trump happened in 1918.
