Two Sessions Spotlight: What to expect on China's economy agenda in 2021

The pandemic, which so far has caused more than 115 million infections worldwide, plunged the global economy into deep contraction. But China was the only major economy to see positive GDP growth. On Friday, the Chinese government released its work report where it made its economic growth target in 2021 at more than six percent. As the country kickstarted its 14th Five-Year Plan, key words like "high-quality growth","innovation", and "consumption" were frequently seen in government documents.

How should the economic agenda of China be seen in a time where major changes are unfolding? Liu Qiao, Dean of the Guanghua School of Management at Peking Univeristy, shared his analysis.
