The pandemic, which so far has caused more than 115 million infections worldwide, plunged the global economy into deep contraction. But China was the only major economy to see positive GDP growth. On Friday, the Chinese government released its work report where it made its economic growth target in 2021 at more than six percent. As the country kickstarted its 14th Five-Year Plan, key words like "high-quality growth","innovation", and "consumption" were frequently seen in government documents.
