The United Nations expressed its appreciation to Chinese peacekeeping engineering troops at a half-year meeting in Bukavu, the Democratic Republic of Congo on May 25.

Six peacekeeping missions met at the meeting to discuss engineering work. Chinese peacekeeping commander Li Qiang shared the Chinese troops’ experience, techniques and process. Participants praised the quality and efficiency of Chinese peacekeeping troops in the region.
“Chinese engineering troops have overcome challenges and difficulties in the construction project and created a miracle for engineers and soldiers… We are grateful to your contribution to the Congolese people,” delegates at the meeting said after they had an aerial view of the construction site from a helicopter.
