University students celebrate diversity at international cultural festival in Shanghai

<p>An international cultural festival opened in Shanghai University on Wednesday, attracting about 1,000 participants, including guests, professors and students from more than 50 different countries, to attend and embrace cultural diversity.</p><p>The cultural gala kicked off with a national costume performance, where international students from countries like Russia, Argentina, South Korea and Kazakhstan dressed up to showcase the best aspects of folk costumes in their home countries.</p><p>International students were then joined on stage by Chinese students, staff and faculty members at the university.</p><p>The event also featured Chinese cultural elements, including tai chi, paper-cutting and rope jumping, aiming to promote cross-cultural understanding among students.</p><p><span style="color: rgb(127, 127, 127);">(Video source: Shanghai University)</span></p>
