Cao Lanh (People's Daily) - Constructed by China Road & Bridge Corporation, the Cao Lanh Cable-Stayed Bridge project of Vietnam held an opening ceremony on Sunday.

Located in Vietnam's Dong Thap Province in the Mekong Delta, the 2,400m long bridge crosses over the Tien River, a branch of the Mekong River at Cao Lanh. This is the first cable-stayed type bridge contracted to a Chinese firm. It is also the first project to be completed ahead of schedule along the river.

The completion of the bridge ended the monopoly of ferry transportation between the two banks, adding another option for travelers.
