Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived at Port Moresby on Thursday to pay a state visit to Papua New Guinea and attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders' Meeting.
Xi's visit is the first by a Chinese head of state to the Pacific island nation. The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1976.
Amid this important occasion, People's Daily reporters went to the streets in Port Moresby and asked the locals of their impressions on China.
