Paris (People’s Daily) - The French Ministry of Health and Solidarity announced on Thursday there were 622 new COVID-19 infections since yesterday.
The total nationwide tally stands at 141,356, including 2,299 severe cases, and 351 new fatalities.
France’s total COVID-19 death toll is 27,425.
French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced the country would allocate 18 billion euros to support the tourism industry. It also voiced its support for all domestic travel during the holidays in July and August as inter-provincial travel restrictions will be lifted.
