10 injured in blaze from plane wreckage in Iranian airport

TEHRAN, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- In a blaze erupted from a plane wreckage in Iran's Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKA) on Wednesday morning, 10 people were injured, official IRNA news agency reported.

The plane belonged to Iran's Mahan Airlines, the Public Relations Manager of Tehran Emergency Center, Mohammad Karam Dorabadi, told IRNA.

The blaze was contained and all the 10 injured people were transferred to the hospital by helicopter, Mohammad Karam Dorabadi was quoted as saying.

He said that the cause of the incident will be announced later.
