KHARTOUM, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's Transitional Military Council (TMC) on Wednesday said three members of the council's political committee have turned in their resignations.

"Lt. Gen. Omer Zainal-Abdin, Lt. Gen. Jalal al-Deen Al-Sheikh and Lt. Gen. (police) Al-Tayeb Babikir Ali have turned in their resignations from the membership of the TMC," said a statement by the council, noting that the resignations are still under consideration.
