49 new coronavirus cases, 1 death reported in Singapore

Bangkok (People's Daily) - Singapore reported 49 new coronavirus cases and one death on Thursday, bringing the total number of infections to 1,049 and deaths to four, said the Ministry of Health of Singapore.

Of the confirmed cases, 41 are local cases. The remaining eight people recently returned from Europe, North America, Southeast Asia and other parts of Asia. 

Singapore on Thursday reported its fourth death related to COVID-19, a 68-year-old Indonesian national. The patient, with a history of diabetes and hypertension, died from complications due to the disease at 6:43 am. 

So far, 266 people have fully recovered, and 23 are critically ill.
