NEW YORK, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale jolted 137 km NW of Kota Ternate, Indonesia at 18:34:57 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 44.3 km, was initially determined to be at 1.6162 degrees north latitude and 126.4538 degrees east longitude.
