BEIJING, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 41km SSE of Quepos, Costa Rica at 1125 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 17.77 km, was initially determined to be at 9.0883 degrees north latitude and 83.9955 degrees west longitude.
