BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 57km S of Acari, Peru at 04:31:52 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 15.9472 degrees south latitude and 74.6272 degrees west longitude.
