BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 14 km SSW of Junin, Peru at 02:16:34 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 27.98 km, was initially determined to be at 11.2822 degrees south latitude and 76.0369 degrees west longitude.
