BEIJING, March 13 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 8 km southeast of Rivas, Nicaragua at 07:57:56 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 163.28 km, was initially determined to be at 11.3857 degrees north latitude and 85.7669 degrees west longitude.
