ATHENS, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale jolted central Greece on Friday, according to the Euro Mediterranean Seismological Center.

The epicenter was located near the city of Karditsa, about 200 km northwest of Athens.
