NEW YORK, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- A 5.1-magnitude earthquake jolted 38 km SSE of Turangi, New Zealand at 0612 GMT on Saturday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 66.71 km, was initially determined to be at 39.3173 degrees south latitude and 176.1262 degrees east longitude.
