WASHINGTON, April 13 (Xinhua) -- A 5.2-magnitude earthquake jolted 299 km SSW of Severo-Kuril'sk, Russia at 0142 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 48.2105 degrees north latitude and 154.4678 degrees east longitude.
