WASHINGTON, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- A 5.2-magnitude earthquake  jolted 78km E of Kimbe, Papua New Guinea at 0924 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 121.95 km, was initially determined to be at 5.4887 degrees south latitude and 150.8466 degrees east longitude.
