HONG KONG, May 6 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted 54 km SSW of Lakatoro, Vanuatu, at 12:20:37 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 16.583 degrees south latitude and 167.2966 degrees east longitude.
