HONG KONG, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted south of the Fiji Islands at 07:25:34 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 24.0271 degrees south latitude and 176.5567 degrees east longitude.
