NEW YORK, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted 34 km south west of Ohonua, Tonga at 0105 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 21.558 degrees south latitude and 175.1847 degrees west longitude.
