BEIJING, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted 67 km NW of Castelo Branco, Portugal at 12:47:01 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 38.8754 degrees north latitude and 29.3387 degrees west longitude.
