JAKARTA, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted 171 km NW of Tobelo, Indonesia at 02:13:15 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 35.0 km, was initially determined to be at 2.8178 degrees north latitude and 126.9122 degrees east longitude.
