HONG KONG, May 3 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 140 km South of Fukue, Japan at 1154 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 31.4218 degrees north latitude and 128.8199 degrees east longitude.
