Jakarta (People’s Daily)- A 6.2-magnitude earthquake jolted Lombok Island on Thursday, the spokesperson of Indonesia’s national disaster agency said.

The quake was located six kilometers northwest of Lombok with a depth of 12.0 kilometers, but no tsunami alarm has been triggered.

Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, the spokesperson of the national disaster agency, said on Twitter that people panicked on Thursday. Residents remain traumatized by the previous quake, and some buildings suffered further damage. “This is the third strong quake in Lombok in two weeks,” he added.
