BEIJING, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale jolted Alaska on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The quake, which occurred at 1458 GMT, was centered at a depth of 10.0 km, at 69.6692 degrees north latitude and 145.5493 degrees west longitude.
