BEIJING, April 1 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted 72 km W of Challis, Idaho at 2352 GMT Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 44.4484 degrees north latitude and 115.1361 degrees west longitude.
