NEW YORK, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- A 6.5-magnitude earthquake jolted 9 km NNE of Puerto Madero, Mexico, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said on Friday.

The epicenter, with a depth of 87.0 km, was initially determined to be at 14.8 degrees north latitude and 92.4 degrees west longitude.
