MANILA, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 jolted 13 km ENE of Pawican, Philippines at 0003 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 33.0 km, was initially determined to be at 12.101 degrees north latitude and 124.087 degrees east longitude.
