About 90 Chinese construction workers in the city of Petah Tikva, Israel, have been infected by the coronavirus, and all cases are mild or asymptomatic, according to a statement released by the Chinese Embassy.

The outbreak was found in a residential area of Chinese workers. The municipality has sealed off the area.

The coronavirus-positive workers have been quarantined or hospitalized. Those who tested negative were required to self-quarantine at home for a few days before another test.

The local government will continue to provide food and medical services.

The Chinese Embassy to Israel said it will pay close attention to the cluster  and provide necessary assistance.
