Austria to scrap mandatory coronavirus vaccination

The Austrian government announced Thursday that it would scrap the country's controversial policy of mandatory vaccination against the coronavirus, just months after it became law.

"Living with covid means that we will bring forward a comprehensive package of measures, and today that means the abolition of compulsory vaccination," Health Minister Johannes Rauch told a press conference.
