MANAMA, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Bahrain announced on Friday that passengers from countries of the Gulf Corporate Council (GCC), who have been fully inoculated against coronavirus or have recovered from it, will need no PCR tests or quarantine starting the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

"Incoming passengers must show evidence of vaccination or recovery through certification or official GCC mobile application," said the announcement by Bahrain's National Medical Team for Combatting the Coronavirus, adding the decision does not apply to passengers aged between six and 17.
Passengers arriving from countries with mutual recognition of vaccination certificate, which includes Israel, Cyprus, Hungary and Greece, will also be free of PCR tests upon arrival, it added.
According to the announcement, travellers aged six and above coming from or transiting through India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal will have to provide proof of a negative PCR test within 48 hours before departure, as well as receiving further PCR testing on the 5th and 10th day of their stay.
